ProACT Training
Proactivity training for organisational and government employees
ProACT Proactivity Training empowers employees and leaders to take the initiative, anticipate opportunities and challenges, and persist in the face of challenges. This enables them to thrive in complex organisational environments.
© Developed in 2025 by Move

Objective
ProACT promotes proactive behaviour, specifically self-starting, future-oriented and persistent behaviour, at both individual and organisational levels. This improves effectiveness, innovation and service quality.
Target Groups
- Employees (e.g. customer-facing roles, operational teams)
- Leaders, managers, and team heads
- Public-sector institutions and private organisations

Core Focus & Content
ProACT training focuses on three interrelated behavioural dimensions.
- Self-starting behaviour: Taking responsibility and initiating actions in daily work.
- Future-oriented behaviour: Anticipating future opportunities and potential problems and preparing for them in advance.
- Persistent behaviour in overcoming challenges: Continuing to act despite setbacks, learning from mistakes, and managing negative emotions.
Depending on contextual needs, ProACT also includes:
- Proactive leadership and empowerment
- Intrapreneurial thinking and innovation
Methodology & Scientific Foundation
Like STEP and PI Training, ProACT is based on the same behavioural science foundations, specifically Action Regulation Theory (Frese & Zapf, 1994) and recent research on proactive behaviour and performance. Its action-oriented interventions combine real work challenges, reflection, feedback and structured practice.
