Research & Evaluation
evidence-based for measurable results
Scientific rigour lies at the heart of everything we do. We incorporate the latest research into our interventions, ensuring their effectiveness through ongoing evaluation. Our aim is to measure impact, refine our approaches and adapt to real-world challenges in each project.

Scientific Foundation
All of our training interventions are grounded in Action Regulation Theory (Frese & Zapf, 1994), a methodological framework emphasising goal-oriented actions regulated by plans, feedback and routines. This theory forms the basis of our practical training approach, which focuses on the real-world application of concepts. Although we integrate the latest research from psychology, entrepreneurship and behavioural economics, the core methodology of our interventions remains consistent.
We continuously update the content based on the most current research findings to ensure that our programmes are both innovative and scientifically grounded.
Prior to each training session, we conduct a comprehensive context and needs assessment, comprising:
- Desk research to understand local challenges and opportunities
- Beneficiary and expert interviews to gather insights
- Focus groups to ensure we meet the specific needs of participants
While the core methodology remains consistent, the case studies, examples, exercises and role-play activities are tailored to reflect the local realities and experiences of the target audience. This makes our training relevant and impactful in diverse contexts.
Continuous Monitoring
We integrate continuous monitoring and real-time feedback into our projects to ensure that interventions remain relevant and effective throughout.
We work closely with local partners and trainers to gather feedback from participants and stakeholders, ensuring that each intervention delivers the expected results and enabling us to make adjustments when needed.
Why Monitoring Matters:
- Ensures quality assurance throughout the training process
- Provides data-driven insights to refine and improve our programmes
- Allows for real-time adjustments to maximise effectiveness in diverse settings

Evaluation Studies
To ensure our interventions are effective and have a lasting impact, we regularly conduct evaluation studies using various methods, such as randomised controlled trials (RCTs), pre- and post-assessments, and applied impact evaluations.
These evaluations measure key outcomes such as entrepreneurial success, business growth, employee performance and organisational effectiveness. This helps us refine and scale our interventions.
Key evaluation areas:
- Behavioural changes: Tracking how participants apply what they have learnt in real-world settings
- Economic outcomes: Measuring improvements in income, sales and business sustainability
- Long-term impact: Assessing lasting changes in mindset and behaviour.
Collaborations with Research Partners
We collaborate with research institutions and universities around the world, including Leuphana University and University College London (UCL), in order to advance our understanding of the factors that drive successful entrepreneurship, leadership and proactivity within organisations.
